Porcelain Crowns

When a tooth is too badly damaged to be repaired with a filling, we often use a porcelain crown. These crowns have a very natural appearance, and can be almost indistinguishable from your own natural teeth. Natural Fillings & Restorations

We use only natural-looking tooth-colored fillings, crowns and restorations. The old-style amalgam fillings and crowns left smiles with that unattractive metal-mouth look. There are none of the health concerns associated with the metal fillings, and these new materials are actually stronger and more durable too.

Bridges

When a tooth is missing, we can use crowns on adjacent teeth as anchors to hold a false tooth in place and "bridge" the gap. Bonding

Dental Bonding is a safe and effective technique for fixing cosmetic flaws in teeth. It can even replace damaged tooth structure. Bonding is a fast and affordable way to fix damaged teeth. It can conceal stains and cracks, fill gaps and repair chipped or broken teeth. We mold a flexible plastic, called resin, into the proper shape to cover existing teeth or replace missing part of the tooth structure. The resin hardens and bonds to the existing tooth, and then it is polished. Once finished, it looks just like a natural tooth.

Advanced implant technology allows us to create a full or partial denture for you that has a perfect fit and is incredibly comfortable.

Enhanced Smile Teeth Whitening

We can whiten your teeth better than any store-bought products. Over-the-counter products are less effective and take longer to work because they actually use a weaker concentration of peroxide, the active ingredient. Also, the trays and strips used to apply the products are not custom designed to fit your teeth, so the whitening is generally not as even. The weaker store-bought whitening doesn't last as long either.

At McMillan and Winkler, we'll either custom fit you with a take-home whitening system or use Zoom! to whiten your teeth right in the office. Zoom! Whitening is power bleaching - the fastest and longest-lasting whitening method available. It uses high concentrations of peroxide directly on teeth with a special light that speeds the process. Zoom! is only available in a dentist's office, but it has become the method of choice for many because it works in just one hour and can last for years. It can brighten teeth up to ten shades whiter. No over-the-counter whitening product even comes close.

Remember a few things. Factors like what you eat and drink will affect how long whitening lasts. And all whitening works best after a thorough dental cleaning.
